The Weave is a collaborative, community-driven reimagining of a mixed-use site on Syracuse's Northside, designed in partnership with real clients and residents, many of whom are immigrants.
By moving beyond surface-level design, the project weaves together cultural values, everyday needs, and shared rituals into a phased proposal that transforms an underused site into a dignified community hub: a laundromat, bakery, bulk store, café, and three apartments, guided by universal design principles and grounded in the real constraints of the people who will use it.
